What the €¥#%

so mocking up my 292, i had to remove the passenger side frame mount cuz this beast came with a 250. no problem there, my issues is now that its moved only the drivers side fits perfect. the passenger side seems like the mount in too far out about 2". i have a plan to make it fit by cutting the back of the mount 2" and while keeping enough material to make the wings that mount to to frame. any ideas that have worked is NEEDED!!!

Re: What the €¥#%

Doesn't the 292 use a special mount/bracket the 250 doesn't use? I believe it does.

Re: What the €¥#%

The frame bracket that you removed , did you just move it to the new location ? Or did you find a 4x4 292 frame bracket for the pass side ?

That's what I'm getting at . The one riveted to the frame on the passenger side is 4x4 292 only and in a different location as you already know.

Actually , two rights one for 292 and one for 230-250 and V8 . The third is drivers side all. Heres what I took today if it helps at all. Might want to just try and locate one, with your picking skills it should be easy .

3 9/16 to bottom lip. If the engine were out I could get better measurements . Might contact padreseg , he had one for Aerotruk .

Re: What the €¥#%

the notch is at about 3-1/4" and your mark is about 5-1/4" so my estimate was right to take out 2"...

Re: What the €¥#%

Run a level across the frame rails , then level the engine off the carb flange to get your location right before welding , just a thought
