CPP Front End Rebuild Kit Questions
So I have been look at the front end rebuild kit from CPP for a 1960-62 C10 and saw they have the entire thing for $320. Is it any good does anyone know or have used these kits? Because on average a ball joint alone on that truck seems to be $175 for one lower. And uppers are usually $70.

Also there is a kit from A Resto Parts. I've never heard of them before but they claim to be of the highest quality. Here is the link.

I bought the drop spindle disc brake kit from CPP it did not come with the ball joints. I had to buy them separate but CPP did have the best price 39.00 for the upper and 39.00 for the lower. I am just now putting it back together I also took both the upper and lower control arms out and replaced the shafts and bushings. So far everything from CPP has been great the ball joints fit perfect.

I got the uppers from LMC they were 39.95 each part # 34-1208 the lowers. I got from CPP txt hey were 89.00 each still about the best price I found part # 6062LCS-L. And 6062LCS-R I also got the upper rubber bump stops from LMC 9.00 part # 30-1870. The only thing I could. Not find was the lower bump stops and they are part of the 3rd lower ball joint bolt no one is reproducing those I would send some pics but I cannot see where to attach board looks strange on my ipad

I am using the old bolts and bump stops the rubber was pretty dry but they are still usable I have found others at junk yards but not in any better shape I will just have to keep looking they are easy to replace in the truck.. I started out replacing just the. Ball joints then found the driver upper control arm had some play at the shaft so I decided to just go through the whole front end. ball joints stil had the rivets so. I it was time

That's exactly what I am doing. My front end actually has a bad spindle on the drivers side so I am replacing it with another torsion front end from someone else's truck. That front end is in much better shape then mine, but it definitely needs to be rebuilt as well as it has the original ball joints still riveted in. I'm restoring mine so it is all apart at the moment anyways.

So I am curious how your front end change out has gone, did you find all parts that you ordered were correct and how hard has it been? I only ask cause I am about to dive into the same thing for my 66 LWB Fleetside. I need the entire front done, it's all original and I would like to drop it 2". Learning as I go and considering a couple of different ways of doing it, 1- remove all old parts , power blast and replace with all new bushings, (the CPP Polyplus kit looks good for that and probably several other new parts). OR 2- go with the CPP Grand Slam complete kit, with the 2" drop spindles offered. From a lessons learned perspective, how did it go, "pros" "cons", can you share what parts you went with and those numbers ?.. Any help would be great !!! I'm somewhat apprehensive, but I know once I get started it should be fine.

The parts I received from CPP were indeed of good quality. Only problem with my kit was the lower ball joints are on back order so I wont receive them for another couple of weeks. But I haven't done it yet, I am waiting on the parts, but as of right now it seems fairly straight forward.
