I have a disc brake rear end that I bought for my '78 camaro, but I sold the car and I was wondering if that rear end would work on my 67 swb. Is it too short or too long, or can I take the discs off of that and put it on my rear end I have now. the rear end I have now is 3:73 five lug. If someone could help that would be great. thanks

It will be too narrow and the spring perches will be different (trucks use a wider spring). You *might* be able to unbolt the brake stuff off the TA rear and bolt it on the truck if you get the right rotors. THe truck will have a 5x5" bolt pattern where the TA will have a 5x4.75" pattern. Maybe a pair of 71-73 front discs on back? Not sure.

thanks, I have got several other rear ends with disc brakes, is there any other cars/trucks that can be used with little mods.

My '67 has a camaro rear end, is not finished tough and it kind of looks like to be a bit narrow, but I'm gonna use wide wheels, I'll see if I can find a pic of it later.

Here's a pic of it not the best, it has the coilovers brackets welded to the axle but it sits too high, have to do something about that

any rear that is not 63-72 willrequire some form of weldingtomakework, EXCEPT for leaf spring trucks, those only requireone shockmount relocation, do you have coils or leaves rear under your truck ? if coils then only 63-72will work

also keepinmindthat car 5lug is not same as truck 5lug

I have about 5 or 6 5 lug rear ends that have drums brakes. The rear end I have under my frame right now is a 3:73 with drums, is there any car/truck that has a simular mounting for discs or is it easier to buy a kit, to put discs on the rear? Thanks for the info already, but if anyone could add anything that would help a lot.
