Hagerty price guide report.

I got an e-mail this morning from Hagerty with a price guide report now for pick-ups. I find it interesting and thought I would share... https://www.hagerty.com/valuationtoo.../VehicleSearch

Unhappy Re: Hagerty price guide report.

I thought the "Sprint" was GMC's version of the El Camino? Didn't see any mention of Fleetside or Stepside pick-up truck.

Re: Hagerty price guide report.

This is interesting for those who have their insurance, especially for claims. I know Hagerty paid my dad very healthy for a small rear end collision, enough to replace what was damaged 2 times over.

On a separate but similar note, I've noticed a huge wave of people disregarding KBB values for newer vehicles ( I don't really care for KBB, just an example) in their sale ads, saying they know what the KBB value is, and simply don't care and want to ask more than what it states. I think that's a fair indication that regardless of what some entity "claims" your vehicle to be worth, reality is it's worth what someone pays.

Re: Hagerty price guide report.

That's nice but definitely not all correct considering LWB vs SWB.

Re: Hagerty price guide report.

I checked that out a few days ago. I actually find it to be pretty accurate, the problem is most people don't understand the "conditions" (or don't like to admit what they thought was a 1 or 2 is really a 3).

The vast majority of trucks on this site would fall right around a category 3, or somewhere between a 2 and 3.

If you actually drive your truck somewhat regularly (maybe once or twice during the work week and on the weekends), chances are it's a condition 3.

...and being honest with myself, my truck is between a 3 and 4 (but closer to 3) and I feel 6-7K would be a fair price for it.

It's pretty spot on for my 65 mustang 289 coupe too. It's honestly between a condition 2 and 3 (a little closer to 2) meaning its worth 17-18K. To the right buyer, I'm pretty sure I could sell it for 16.5-17K.

Re: Hagerty price guide report.

I got that same email from Hagerty and check it out to this morning. There is a button , something like " I didn't find my vehicle", that takes you to a screen it fill in a request for your vehiclr to be added. They explain they only added so many vehicles, but may add more based on requests.
I filled out for a Chevy C20. I plan to also add GMC pickups too. Maybe if we but in enough requests we can get more of these trucks added.
