light weight front

I have a 84 c30 it's, and a 01 s10 ifs. I am looking at a 54 solid ag axle currently. Weight wise would I be better off using the solid axle? This is for a MR engine so there will be very little weight on the front end. I would be using leads all around.

Re: light weight front

That came across wrong.
What I want to know is if I would save more weight going with the ag axle and leaf springs/shocks or if I made my own IFS out of the parts iI have and tube.
