horn button assembly

I can't remember the exact order the parts for my horn go back together. Does anyone have a picture? I have the deluxe wheel.
Thanks
Also just out of curiosity which is the top of the horn cap? Do the triangles point down or up?

Re: horn button assembly

Excellent writeup and pics. Thanks 1963c10. Only difference on mine is the flat metal spring doesn't have the 3 tabs. One thing I noticed too was that some of these wheels had a Chevy II center cap and ring. I recognized them from my old 65 Chev II Nova. Thanks again. Going to go out and hook it up and see what happens

Re: horn button assembly

I believe the Chevy II style cap was standard on the 66 model wheel. And yes, I have seen 2-3 different style internals for these as far as the plates.

Glad you got it all mounted ok!!

Re: horn button assembly

As for the horn question you PM'd about.....if I remember correct the hi note horns have an "h" on them. I think it was 1970 that they started putting a "l" on the low note horns.

You can see the "h" in a circle on the 1st pic
