90's 40/60 bench seat in a 77?

I need to get a new bench seat for my 77. I would like to put a 40/60 bench from a 90's truck in my truck but don't know what modifications that would require. Has anyone tried this? Any ideas what I would need to modify to get this done?

Thanks for any tips.

I'm sure it could be done I've seen pictures of trucks on here with seats out of a Jaguar
in there truck.

Some of what you will need to do is going to be some fabrication and trial and error, don't tell anyone but I put a 90's f150 bench in mine got it for $20 at my local u pick it place

Re: 90's 40/60 bench seat in a 77?

I have done some google searches and it seems that many people have done this. I even found a youtube video someone did on the swap. The differences seem to be what people use for the slides. Some use the early slides and get a second pair for the newer seats and some use the slides that come with the new seats. Can't find much detail on how the new slides fit. I guess it is something I will just have to try. Get a new bench and see what I need when I get it started.

Thanks for the reply.

Ya I picked up my bench and just fabricated some brackets so the holes matched up with the seat and the cab. Not really any template out there to use
