'58 new window regulators hard to crank up

My new window regulators are VERY hard to turn when cranking the winows up. Going down, they are fine. Everything is new including glass, frames and felts. I've lubed all the pivot points on the regulators but that didn't help much.

Re: '58 new window regulators hard to crank up

dyno. if you changed all the felt it can be tight. I finished mine a couple of months ago, the drivers side rolled up and down nicely when done.

The passenger side was a little tough about 1/2 way up, I purposely left the window in the areas that was binding the most. Over a couple of months the felt has slowly recessed and settled to where the window barely binds as it did when I first assembled it.

Unless your's is extreme, perhaps your's will settle also as mine did.

Yeah Jim, I left them in the rolled up position for a couple weeks, but they are still stiffer than hell. The wife will be complaining on date night!
