Hotchkis Sport Suspension Installation Project Thread

As some of you know we are now operating Installation Centers that can do everything from bolting in and setting up our systems to full blow restorations. We decided to make a rolling thread so everyone can see what we are up to!

Keep tuning in for more updates!

Re: Hotchkis Sport Suspension Installation Project Thread

27 April 2015

We have a bunch of pictures of the Adam Corolla/ Paul Newman Nissan. The motor went in and the car was prepped for the premier of the movie about Paul Newman. This car is getting REALLY close to completion and we can't wait to see it back on track!

We did sway bars for a C7 Corvette, let’s just say we had a lot of fun test driving the car, Race Mode is Awesome!

Bob Hall brought in his CTS-V powered Camaro. We installed the sub frame connectors and did an alignment to get the car ready for the Good Guys Autocross in Del Mar.

The Orange Camaro! It’s a real Z28, it has the floor mounted gas pedal, 8000rpm tach, 3/8 fuel line, 12 bolt rear diff, and factory mounted rear sway bar brackets. We installed a full Stage 2 TVS kit.

Next up is a 2013 Mustang, that we installed Springs, sway bars front and rear, X-brace, rear trailing arms, sub frame connectors , and a Panhard Rod. Look for this car at our next NMCA event in Fontana.

We also have a 71 Plymouth Satellite that came in for an evaluation. The owner has had this car for 28 years and back in the early 90’s he would run this car at the SCCA Solo 2 events, now he uses it as his daily driver. The car has some suspension problems, it’s been aligned 5 times in the last 8 months, it pulls to the right so hard that it will drive in a circle by its self.

Re: Hotchkis Sport Suspension Installation Project Thread

It's been a busy couple of weeks at the shops and we've had the chance to work on some really fun projects.

First off was a set of brake ducts for a NASCAR Xfinitiy Series team for the upcoming short track race in Iowa. We think these will be able to sufficiently cool the car's massive brakes for the short track race.

The boss got bored and decided to play with an old Al Holbert built 911 that we will be updating with new safety equipment as well as refurbishing for a customer. We'll keep posting updates as the build goes on.

We even pulled the 962 out for a fire-up and made sure she was still in good shape. It's been a couple of years since the restoration on her, and she's only got a handful of laps since, but she still looks fantastic!

Congratulations to Hotchkis H-Team members Carl Casanova and Jon Mahn who took 1st place in the Vintage American class (and 14th overall) at Brock Yates' One Lap Of America last week. Carl and John took turns piloting Carl's Hotchkis-equipped 1968 Honor Flight Camaro 18 challenging driving events across 7 days. Way to go guys!

And of course we've had quite a few cars come through the shop to get suspension components installed and other maintenance issues taken care of...

We like to have friendly rivalries at work. We have a great cross section of cars in our employee lot. We are all enthusiasts.
