how to verify a VIN #

guys can you tell me how to verify a vin number and make sure nothing is hidden with it? I tried carfax but no luck...r

Expand greatly on what your expectation is.

If you want a vehicle history since build it isn't going to happen.

If you are wanting to verify how original a vehicle is you really need to have much more than just a VIN.

I just wan to make sure that the truck does not have a salvage title or it's not stolen.

DMV should be able to give you title status/branding on a vehicle you are wanting to buy. They have a lot of online services and help.

If there is a question like it being a stolen vehicle I'd start with DPS and see what the offical word is.
