Identifing 70 disc brake conversion
I have looked over numerous post. May have overlooked it somewhere. Is there any way to identify what front disc conversion has been done on my truck. It's a 70 Chevy that already had the swap done but I'm not sure what year I need to get drop spindles for. It has rubber bushings on the control arms. 1 1/4 thick rotors. I've done gotten myself confused by looking and reading over and over. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Rubber a-arm bushings means 73-87.
Just get drop spindles for the HD rotors since there was also a light duty version from 81-87. Pics would help.

lolife is spot on. He helped me identify my brakes a year or so ago. I have the same setup. You'll need drop spindles for 73-87 HD rotors. Your calipers, rotors and most likely your tie rods and steering linkage are 73-87 as well. Just program yourself to buy 73-87 HD parts for your steering components and your all set.
