Problem with POL Disc kit
Ok, I am at my wits end with this. I bought the POL disc brake package with the 2.5" Western spindles. I am using the control arms off a 79 suburban and have rebuilt them with new bushings, ball joints etc. Now for the problem. When i bolt it all back together and let the jack down the spindle locks into the upper control arm, and the arm is resting on the bump stop at this point also, I can jack it back up and get "some" movement but it still rubs on the control arm. POL says they sent me the correct ball joints and spindle combo but when the upper ball joint is inserted into the spindle it seems to go in too far right off the bat, i have a 1/4" between the top of the castle nut and the hole for the cotter pin when it is finger tight. After i tighten the nut to seat the ball joint it is closer to a half inch and I am locked into the control arm again

Re: Problem with POL Disc kit
What year did you order spindles for?
Should havve been 73-87 spindles, since that is the year balljoints you are using. The balljoints and outer tie rods are different for the 63-70 and 71-72 trucks. Everything has to match the year of spindle you are using.
