Help with door - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

The passenger door on my truck locks and unlocks as it should opens from the outside but not the inside and the button goes up and down. I bought the truck this way. The rod was bent so I got one at the wreckers. The triangle part that the inside door handle attaches to works as it should. With the triangle piece unhooked the latch will not budge with rod. Is my door latch shot ? if jt is can I just undo the 3 screws that are on the outside of it and remove it that way?

Are you saying that when you lift the inside door handle the door will not unlock? I didn't think they were suppose too, i could be wrong but i have never locked myself inside.

No, what I'm saying is I can't open the door from inside the truck but can from the outside.
