Crazy dash idea?

I've never cared for the dash pad on these trucks and had a crazy thought . Has anyone ever filled in the dash pad holes on the lip to a solid metal lip and painted it like the rest? I think I may try it. Thoughts...good or bad I don't care...

I've always thought about welding the back side of the dash up and making the holes the AC outlets across the dash also. Now that is crazy!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Member colgad has done this. I've seen it in person and it looks awesome. Very clean. He has some pics in a album, on his home page. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...p?albumid=1798 I would highly recommend it, if that's what you want to do.
