Frame Crack @ Steering box
So a few weeks ago I was reassembling my buddy's '84 frame and I wanted to make sure I was putting the spacer for the steering box on in the correct location and so I went to have a look at my truck in my other shop and saw bleeding rust on the side of my frame around the lower bolt location upon further visual inspection I found that my frame is cracked! Anyway I sortta remember reading on here years ago about a frame repair kit plate for this problem.
Anyone here know about this I've searched here and the web and found it for about every other truck n jeep but the 73-87 C10. Here's a few pic's of my buddy's frame |

Re: Frame Crack @ Steering box
There are many fixes for it and all sorts of threads. I think offroaddesign has a brace kit for the c-10s (might be another company).

I used one on my square. Works like a charm!
