1954 grill splash pan wanted
I'm looking for a good splash pan to send to a chrome plater. This is not the apron behind the bumper but the lower grill panel.

Gale,
Are you still looking? Is it the green panel on the bottom of the grill in the link below? Just trying to make sure before I have my father-in-law go through his grill parts and get me pics and a price for you.

I don't see a link but the splash pan is the wide piece with a curved front. The center "bullnose" sits on it.
I see you're in Houston too. I can come look at it anytime.

Re: 1954 grill splash pan wanted
Sorry I forgot the link earlier. My father in law is in Dallas. They are headed home from Houston sometime later tomorrow. I'll have him take a look at what he has and get me some pics. If he has something you are interested in, I'll be up there around the first of July and can bring it back for you to inspect and buy if you want it.
He is at the point of clearing out his collection of parts and trucks finally...Not a lot of 54 parts, but he has some. I know there are a few splash pans for that grill around...just has been awhile since either of us has seen them...so can't say what shape they are in. I'll post some pics here once I can get them. Are you in a big hurry for the part or is there a little time? I only ask as I may have to help dig it out when I go up if it is somewhere he physically can't get to anymore.

Re: 1954 grill splash pan wanted
I'm not in a hurry. My plan is to take a complete grill to a local chrome plater here in Houston and my splash pan has a couple breaks that were covered with crude welds and Bondo.

Sounds good. I'll let you know as soon as I either get pics from him or I'm up there to get them myself.
