Holley Projection

Has anybody here used one of these? I installed one on my 350 a few weeks ago. I ran the return back to the tank. Used a separate temp sending unit, separate from the radiator. Fuel pump is located right at the gas tank.

Am trying to get it dialed in now. I was getting 7.5 mpg! Hell, I went with this to improve gas mileage and do away with cold starts. It really works well. I just can't get good mileage yet.

I tried trimming the "main" back to lean it out. That seemed to make it worse. So now I am trimming the "accel" adjustment and think I may be improving it.

I understand that I'm never going to get great mileage. And I'd be happy with between 12-15 MPG.

Anybody have any tips? I have a friend who owns a hot rod shop here in Austin who says he's installed a bunch of them and doesn't think it's a bad unit. I'd rather not take it to him unless I have to. $100.00 an hour is well worth his work. I just like to do what I can by myself.

Yes, several. You must run the o2 sensor to see any better fuel mileage. I ran them on rock crawlers, dune rigs and they worked well. The early analog ones were mostly junk. The newer digital ones are very reliable. Have only ever had the throttle module fail. Holley sent a new one out no charge after a couple years of ownership.

Thanks. Mine is the 2D marine unit. Shouldn't be any difference, I don't think.
There's a lot that I don't know. I'll get on that and see where I'm at.
