Bell Tech or CPP - 72 SWB
Wanting to order a 3/5 drop for my 72 SWB this week. Was wondering if there are any benefits, issues with either vendors product. Bell Tech makes a 3 inch drop spindle for the front, CPP uses a drop spindle and shorter spring to achieve the 3 inch drop on the front. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the response in regards to ECE. I've read alot of good things about them. The only thing is I believe you would have to go with a 2.5 or 3.5 drop on the front. Wanting the 3 front 5 rear look. With that said a Big Block stroker is going in it so maybe the 2.5 front drop with the additional weight of the Big Block may give it the look that I am looking for (not sure).

I run cpp front springs and have had no issues with them.

consider what brakes you want to run, I believe CPP's spindle will allow future plans while the Bell doesn't.

I would use ECE and not fuss over 1/2". Can you really tell the difference? The 3" drop spindles are a bad idea for normal diameter rims

Whatever vendor you use, they will most likely sell you Western 2.5" dropped spindles, which are the most commonly used brand for 71/72 trucks. I have never had an issue with them. I would avoid 3" bell tech drop spindles for the reasons mentioned above.
