56 frame off build
Hi Guys, I am new to this forum, although I have been using it as a resource for a while. I wanted to give back and document a long delayed dream. To build a high school graduation present from my parents. After high school, college, marriage, three kids and a shop and house build its been almost 16 years since my parents gave it to me. So I recently hauled it over 500 miles home and put it to bed in my shop. My plans are to build an all out cool ride with: A LS, four speed/5 speed independent front suspension, four link rear, AC, Maybe air ride, And black paint with grey torque thrust wheels, minimal chrome.
Would appreciate any advice and help. I plan to post frequent up dates and pictures. Thanks!!! |

Re: 56 frame off build
Welcome aboard looking forward to watching the build. It looks gr8 for what you have to start with, judging by the photos you probably don't have a lot rust issues and hopefully no patch panels and replacement fenders to deal with. Have fun

Thanks!! very minimal rust!!! a couple small spots, thats why I left it in Idaho all these years. With Oregon whether it would all have been eaten away by cancer by now!!!

Nice. Be careful working around those saw blades, wouldn't want to lose a finger...
