??s about 4x4 rad. shroud and 4-core

Just checked and my truck has a four core radiator. The fan shroud fits the mounts at the top but is about an inch shy at the bottom. Is this right and how do I fix correctly?
I am guessing the original was three core and the added thickness is the problem.
( Upper hold downs were cobbled up home made and I replaced them with a four core set that I had. Fit great)

I used the same shroud when I went from a 3 core to a 4 core. Fit the same.

Are the lower clips there? The lower shroud mounts clip onto the bottom of the core support and protrude out towards the motor about 3/4" in the 4X4's I have had, I think they are flush with the top edge of the lip. If the upper mounts you have are repro's they will need some bending to get them to fit right. If the truck was originally a 3 row the lower mounts would have to be changed also.

The lower clips are not there. I had another front clip and took the shroud clips off of that core support. They use bolts and fit very tightly over the support. If there are different clips, maybe that is what I need. I have seen clips that the lower lip of the shroud sits into and the upper bolts hold it all in place. Is that what i need? I will do pics in the daylight.

Kevin, mine has clips down at the bottom that clip over the support and holds the shroud in. Or atleast I have them around here to put on my 72 when I get time.
