Saw this nice '72 (Ochre) GMC for sale at $5200 asking.
The truck isn't perfect but I appreciate how clean, straight and original it appears to be and the general condition it seems to be kept in. It seems to a little bit of rocker rust going on but its still seems to be a great starting point.
Its good to now these trucks still keep popping up in this condition and for this kind of pricing.

I saw that also and wondered if it's the one I saw last year at $3gs. Decent truck despite the yellow lol Colour isn't actually bad, I just want a blue 2 tone like that.

That truck was on EBay within the last few weeks and sold I think in the high 3's.

That's a good question and a good point. The way I looked at this was 'what range' would that truck normally fall in given its overall condition and I had it 'bottomed' somewhere near $3500. From there its simply a matter of raising the estimated price until the value drops out.
It appears to have a lot going for it...except that rocker business.
What I liked about it was the straightness and overall condition. I've seen some (theoretically) rust free trucks that do not have one straight or non dented panel on them and very little left of everything else.
That said.....how about this one instead for an initial asking price $500 less:

Not at all in Iowa.... It's all about the location.

I agree, to find a truck with that little rust is gold here. Pretty hard to find a nice running vehicle for 5k as well
too bad they are GMC's
