MEDUSA - Some Mad British back yard engineering - Twine engine car build.

I know there are some guys on here who are real engineers etc, but this build does work for me, as it is real seat of the pants engineering.

I have seen some amazing car builds over time on various forums.

Here is one that makes me grin madly, as it combines guts, science and raw out the box thinking.

Take a mad idea and turn it into reality.

Take a look.

BUILD THREAD HERE. http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/garage/medusa-206057

I know there are better ways, better engineers, other opinions, but hey...... We all need to let our inner child play sometimes.

Hope you enjoy.

Thought I would add this in here too.....

These guys should be introduced.

You need to click the links below to take a look at the build.

I have known Ian's builds and creative head for years.

He has a thing for Wheel Horse mini tractors and modifying them is a big part of his life.

Where he started.

Another build he was recently involved in........

What they started with.

Re: MEDUSA - Some Mad British back yard engineering - Twine engine car build.

whell the english are some of the biggest inventors
think they invented racing when they where still in deer hides rolling rocks around
there actually saying they invented the way to keep controll of the plane when it breaks the sound barrier and the americans took the idea and did it
they invented the jet engine too
(there actually rebuilding the original bleubird K7 speedboat using the original crumbled and corroded sheetmetal fished of the bottom of the lake it crashed in killing Sir Malcolm Campbel
http://www.bluebirdproject.com/K7/ )

been reading on that forum a while now and there a lot of people rebuilding impossible projects intoo like new . there realy top notch ,mecanics and sheetmetal guys
too bad the unions , the govenment and the bad buildquallity on english cars in the late 70's broke a lot of the smaller brittish car manufacturers
