factory gauge cluster with air pressure gauge.

Anybody use one in there truck? I was thinking it be perfect if you had air ride. I was at the junkyard today and seen a big 64-66 c60? And ran over to check the doors but there full of bondo but noticed it had a nice gauge cluster with a air pressure gauge built in I didn't grab any pics but I will when I go back I noticed it had a brake pedal that was aluminum and had air brakes cast in it. I think I'll grab that for my truck just to have if they will sell parts off it might get the doors to to run wile I rebuild the bottoms in mine if there cheap rnough. Does anyone know if the 64-66 chevy gauge clusters fit in the 66 gmc gauge cluster opening? If so I'll have to put my truck on air just to run that cluster it's just to cool. Plus I have almost an in tire air ride setup laying around

doesnt it stop at 150 psi? my reserve tank is 185, so it would just be pegged all the time.

Yea it only goes up to 150 I think it was. I always ran my pressure switch with a 160 shutoff so it would work pretty good for that I never needed over that for any of the setups I've done but I always used the bigger slam specialties re7/8 bags that lift at a lower pressure vs the smaller re5/6s but it's been a long time since I messed with any of that.

Re: factory gauge cluster with air pressure gauge.

reserve pressure isnt about how much you put in a bag though, higher pressure is more volume, and faster lifting speed. if you have a lower pressure switch you just have less reserve air and it will lift slower. and there is nothing wrong with that, in fact with electric compressors it will recover faster to 150-160 than to 185-200 so thats an advantage.

Re: factory gauge cluster with air pressure gauge.

Gmc has a bigger opening in the dash than a chevy so no it will not fit.

Re: factory gauge cluster with air pressure gauge.

I saw someone on Instagram do this. They installed their own gauges in those spots. Thought it was kind of cool. If ttrujillo5054 is on here sorry for stealing your pic. Lol
