cross member bolts
Anybody know the correct size of the cross member bolts that attach across the frame....the one that supports the transmission. I want to replace the ones that attach to the frame. My truck is a 1978 C10 Custom Deluxe. Thank you, Al

Re: cross member bolts
My 77 has all 3/8ths bolts cross member to frame and lots of them. The only 7/16ths I know of are the rear mount bolts

Re: cross member bolts
Even if you know the hex head size, you won't know the length w/o measuring.
BTW, a 11/16" or 5/8" hex head means the bolt is 7/16", probably NC (14 threads/inch). A 9/16" hex head means it's a 3/8" bolt, probably NC (16 threads/inch).

Re: cross member bolts
on mine they are 1 1/4 inch long. but changing the 4 on the top frame rail might prove unlikely. there's not enough clearance between cab and rail
