'63 3sp Saginaw to TH350 Swap
I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but I've been unable to find a parts list or "directions" for making this swap. Obviously a trans, shifter, linkage etc... is necessary but can anyone tell me what else may be required to perform this swap? I'm primarily concerned with materials required under the truck. Thanks everyone in advance.

Radiator with trans cooler. Or a separate cooler.

Re: '63 3sp Saginaw to TH350 Swap
The cross-member under your current 3 speed (at about the firewall) will go away. The cross-member for the tail-shaft of the TH350 will have to be installed.
The cross-member currently in place where the emergency/parking brake mechanisms are will most probably have to be removed. This may help but remember it's a 62 not a 63: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=626071 and http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...light=sbc+1960

Re: '63 3sp Saginaw to TH350 Swap
As mentioned in the thread I linked; you'll need a starter that can mount to your block.

Re: '63 3sp Saginaw to TH350 Swap
Thanks for the responses, guys!!! I suppose my concern in a cross member that is required to support the TH350. Does anyone make one for the '63 or is it something that I have to fabricate? I know that there are those on the board that fabricate plates for power steering boxes and brake master cylinders...
