What age truck are these Chevy wheels from? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Can anyone tell me what age truck these wheels would have been fitted to originally please?
They are advertised near to me as being from a 1937 Chevy Truck but I;m not sure that can be right?
Anyone know what age they are, or which type of hubcaps fit these?
They are 16" by the way.

I'm not even sure those are chevy wheels. lol Someone who knows more than me will have to say, but I'm curious as well.

6 lug 16" wheels on a car? Seems unlikely.

yes pretty likely on the much older ones - 40's and earlier. 50's brought in most of the 14 and 15" wheels. I think undertaker has a match posted there - note the small cap retainer clips as well, but the number of "windows" (for lack of a better term) between center and rim is uncommon, and old.

Those 6 clips are definitely early car or truck. I've had a few sets in the past 41 truck & 48 sedan delivery.

thats a two year only wheel, 37-38 chevrolet master deluxe. pretty rare wheels. should be 16x4. some people call them artillery, not sure about that but they are rare.

Not to hijack this thread but did any of the 60-66 trucks come with 6 lug 16" rims? thanks Jeff

yes they did there were single piece and split wheels in 6 lug

They look similar to the ones that came from a 48 chevy, I have some put on my tuck but haven't seen that many openings....

These are 16's They came off my Fleetline Car...

When I was in high school I had a 1948 chevy car that had 6 hole 16's with trim rings.
