Rare Gift of the Gods

This just so happened to fall into my hands. People who know what this is will understand its value.

I'd love to have one of those on my truck if I had a bed to go with it.

Re: Rare Gift of the Gods

That is what I have paid for the 2 that I have. I don't find them in nice condition very often though. It has always seemed strange to me that since they are rare it is hard to sell them for what they should be worth. That is the only reason I still have both of mine and have never tried to sell them. I got more out of a nice 87 Chevy tailgate than what I could get out of my 73-74 gates

It was a one off only for 73-74 GMCs just like the grill for the 73-74 Chevys.

These are also not being reproduced so the only ones you can find are ones that people have in a collection.

GMC trucks from what I've read were also not made in the same volumes as Chevy trucks so there are fewer GMC trucks as Chevys for the 73-87 era.
