I'm pretty sure it looks just like the 8cyl one.
On the back it says if it's for an 8 or a 6.

Assuming your speaking of a Chevrolet and not a GMC!

Tachometer RPO U16.
In 63 only available in light trucks with V8.
Available in Medium and Heavy Duty with Inline 6.
They are identical looking, internals are different.

My 6 cyl Tach and Instrument Panel removed from a C60

Re: 6 cylinder factory tach

Thanks for the info guys, I just purchased a deluxe guage cluster with a tach off of ebay. Beautiful restored condition for $172.00 came off of a 66 but seller could not tell me anything more about it. I will have to wait till I get it to see if the tach is for a 6 cyl. I hope it is. I would hate to get rid of my 6 just to see the tach work correctly. What type of vacuum guage should I look for to mount in the cluster. I know a 66 olds 442 had them but those are high dollar. Are there any others? Thanks again Mike.
