Re: Fuel cell 61
I have one installed on my 61, and the fit is spot-on. I'll attach some pics later today...
Like you, I balked at the price tag of these tanks. I had looked at other options for saving money like the mustang tanks or the blazer tank that hung down too far. In the end, my 82 year old father offered me some sage advice: "there are plenty of opportunities to cut some corners son, I don't think a cheap gas tank is one of them." I took his advice thinking if my son ever drove the truck after getting his license, the POL tank would be a safer option. I haven't second guessed my decision... Best of luck, Tom

Re: Fuel cell 61
I have both the blazer tank in one truck and a tanks inc in the other. The blazer tank dose hang down a lot but I raised it as far as I could. It really doesn't help that the rear of my truck is lowered 4" but it works. The Tanks Inc tank doesn't hang low, as a matter of fact I used 3/4 bar to lower it more so the filler would stay under the bed. Here is a picture of it under the bed. I think I paid $297 for it. This tank can actually raise up another 1" or so. http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...rod/prd173.htm

Re: Fuel cell 61
I like the Corvette tank from Tanks. Looks same size through the years.
