Window crack fix?
Well the wife and I installed the windshield today with great success up until the last two minutes. We were working the bottom in and I guess I pushed a little too hard on the windshield and of course 'CRACKKKKK'
Does anyone know if these cracks can be repaired or is it toast? Really is a shame as it was going pretty well for two rookies....lol. Sorry for the mess in the garage! Ron |

Thanks Cruzin. Guess will have to see how fast it goes. Maybe next time I will let the pro's do it.

Re: Window crack fix?
No fix.
You do have a choice though. You can change it happy or you can change it sad. Bummer, Sorrry, Been there, done that. I now call the glass guy. Even if I buy a glass kit off evilbay. He comes and installs them quick. He's learned all the tricks in the past 30 years of doing the same thing day after day. Makes it look sooooo simple.

Re: Window crack fix?
ouch man that sucks brother .. you will definitely want to change that its gonna get worse very fast on you .. i would let the pros do it for you ... there are many things to consider when trying to do a window in our trucks like one you have already found out on your own but the other is sealing . if you dident get the seal just right it could be leaking in a spot you may not see and then you get a rotted out windshield channel ... big time problem .. so on this type of job its best left to the pros to get done right .. and best part is if they brake it on install they get you a new one free of charge .. and i have heard even pros brake them on our trucks because they are such a PITA .... hope you get it worked out soon brother .. Happy Truckin
