Who has the best restoration?
This one would certainly be in the running. The attention to detail is insane:

Re: Who has the best restoration?
That's a Really nice truck. But the best would be an on going debate. I've seen some SUPER nice restorations and builds on the board here.
That is pretty flawless though. Would look good in my shop.

Re: Who has the best restoration?
Would that not be more of a resto-mod as opposed to restoration?

Re: Who has the best restoration?
I agree, a resto-mod more than a restoration. Too many non-factory items. But, I understand the reason for almost all of them and did pretty much the same thing when I restored my '52. Very nice looking work.

Re: Who has the best restoration?
Wow that is nice, I'd have to put on some bubble wrap before I took that one out!

Re: Who has the best restoration?
I wish he'd gone stock though. Beautiful truck. It's about the same level as mine except he's over-restored it to the extent it looks like the frame has been skim-coated and prepped (the rails aren't that smooth).
No doubt in fact it's nicer than mine, but it's always hard to tell from photos. Making them right is harder than making them shiny. He's got chrome Chinese AC vents, whereas I've been stalled for a week waiting for new PPG product to do the five stages to prep and paint interior plastics. Still a super-beautiful truck of course. I'm just one of those "more stock more better" people because I've been through it a couple of times on vehicles where there just aren't repro parts so I really appreciate people that can rehab and restore rather than order from a catalog.
