I took my truck to the body shop last week to get a little paint work done and get my windshield seated correctly. I provided 67-70 trim and the correct Precision gasket. It looks like it is seated correctly on the inside, but the trim on the top driver side is sticking out. The glass guy told the body shop owner that it would correct itself once it sits out in the sun. I am not so sure...

I don't think the trim should look like that. Do you have more pics? I can't really tell, but it looks like it isn't even seated on the corner.

All I know is my precision seal was flat and tight all over as soon as I installed it. And it wasn't warm out nor was it in the sun.

It looks like they didn't hook the corner in. Shouldn't be like that

Here is a shot from the center of the cowl looking up towards that driver's corner...doesn't look like the trim is seated. The gasket looks fine from the inside but not from the outside. I may have to pull the windshield and check the opening. This cab had to have a little "pull" at a frame shop several years ago when I restored the truck. The frame shop guy was considered to be an expert in 67-72 trucks and he pulled the cab out great from a slight t-bone that pulled the passenger door pillar in a bit. He is retired now. Hopefully, he checked the windshield opening before he sent it to paint and I just need a good windshield installer

I've used a rubber mallet to seat them better

Looks like the trim wasn't installed properly in the gasket before the windshield went in. I don't think you will fix that without the windshield coming out.

I'm with jayoldschool on this one, the leg of the chrome trim is not seated in the gasket area properly, and would need to be removed to do so.

Yeah, not seated. I think jay may be right - being so much. Cdowns method may work, but not sure it'd work with it being excessive like it is.

Take it back to the body shop and make them do it right!, you paid for it. It has to come back out and that won't fix itself
