Will this bottom out if hauling more than 200lbs?

On my dad's old 57 F-100 it had been lowered poorly before we got it but we left it. It would bottom out on small bumps and poor roads when hauling more than say 200lbs (We had a motor on a stand in the bed and it bottomed out, alot). With a 4/6 kit from Early Classic, would it also bottom out? Or are their springs and shocks in the kit good enough, mine will be a daily driver shortbed stepside and I'd like to be able to use it to haul stuff also, nothing over 1/2 ton but say motors or parts. Thanks.

Re: Will this bottom out if hauling more than 200lbs?

I have a 4.5"/7" on my 69 short step and it will bottom on big bumps, but I had no issues hauling several hundred pounds in the bed. My truck is leaf sprung with a rear flip so 7" is just how much it lowers it with little choice in the matter.

On your 4/6 you should be fine with hauling some 500# loads around.
