Re: 3high humps for sale

Possibly interested.....they are all manual 4x2 but what's the difference? Chevy vs GMC? V8 vs V6? Something to learn every day with these trucks.

Thanks for the help.

Re: 3high humps for sale

Chevy and GMC are the same. They did not offer a V6, only a straight 6. So any 67 to 72 should be a candidate for these. Mike, I got mine and looks great, thank you sir.

Acutally they did have the big 305 V6.
My '68 GMC had one, just like this one,...

My guess is the high hump with the "forward hole" is for V8 applications.
The 6-cylinder engine frame stands were in the rear set of holes on the frame rails,... which would explain the need for a high hump with the shifter hole a little farther back.
There is also the high humps with a transfer case hole, for the 4x4 trucks.
The "hard to find" high hump is from the big block/auto 2wd trucks.
These have no holes.

Lolife, glad you chimed in. I knew getting it back to the top would help get real answers.

Re: 3high humps for sale

I believe the forward hole is for all 2wd 4 speeds, I've had V8's and straight 6's that was in that location. The hole further back is for the transfer case shifter on 4wd autos.

Re: 3high humps for sale

I stand corrected, it's been awhile since I owned a 4wd, I thought the hole was more centered. I have no idea then, all my 2wd manual tranny's had the forward hole with straight 6 and sbc but maybe someone swapped them out at some point.

Bump for ya, good prices on some clean looking humps!
