Doubt it. When I had this issue, it was because the rubber hoses inside the cab connecting the fuel lines to the tank were so old they were seeping fuel through them. Since changing those few small sections, haven't had a whiff. My filler neck grommet is the original from '72.

Either that, or I because I stopped eating at Taco Bell (How TV knew that, I'll never know!)

X2. The filler neck grommet will only stop the smell if it's because you're spilling fuel and it's running down the outside of the filler neck into the cab. Your source is more likely inside the cab. On my 70 I had to replace all the lines and the seal at the sending unit before I got the smell to go away.
