4L80E to NV4500

I have a 00 K2500 and the 4l80e is having a load high pitch squeal coming from the tail shaft in drive, and in reverse it makes a similar noise but has a grinding sound in it to.

I found a 93 k2500 that was a feed truck but caught fire under the hood and everything under it is burnt and some of the cab. But the nv4500 and the np241c are still good.

has any one done this swap and what problems can I expect. I have never done an auto to standard conversion or worked on a hydraulic clutch.

Re: 4L80E to NV4500

The NV is longer so your driveshaft will have to be modified or replaced. The cross member will probably have to be relocated as well but I'm not 100% on that.
