Question about scottsdale package?

Hi all, I have a 1985 scottsdale pick up and have a question on the rear springs. The rear seems to set up pretty good and this is with a older fiberglass camper top. My question is did the scottsdale package come with heavier duty rear springs? Here is a pic and I will try to take pics of the rear suspension. Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Question about scottsdale package?

the scottsdale package was just a general trim level, has nothing to do with springs, or capacities of the truck.

This is correct.

You can read more about it here:

Re: Question about scottsdale package?

Was heavier springs a option you could order? Also how many springs does a normal half ton have?

As did mine (except for the two tone).

We always ordered the Scottsdale trim level so that we could get the full vinyl flooring, vinyl seat, manual locks and windows, but could still opt up for the better exterior appearance by adding RPO V22 up level grill and side moldings.

Yes; the RPO code and description should be in the link I provided.

Re: Question about scottsdale package?

My scottsdale has carpet? If you look in the picture you can see that it is not regular carpet. It can be pulled up and has a vinyl trim on the edges is the best way to explain it.

Re: Question about scottsdale package?

You could get carpet (optional) or vinyl in a Scottsdale.

You could not get vinyl in a Silverado.
