Trans Mount Question

What kind of trans mount is this? And will it work for a automatic trans behind a 350ci with a low hump cab?:

Re: Trans Mount Question

It looks like a 70's or 80's transmission cross member.

Thanks Classic.
Anyone ever use one for the installation I talked about above?

Re: Trans Mount Question

I have not seen anyone use one on our year trucks but it could probably be made to work.

Re: Trans Mount Question

you can use a low hump but you have to massage that lip under the floorboards under the firewall

Re: Trans Mount Question

GM started using that style of trans crossmember around '79. The style of trans crossmemner is not dependent on whether a low hump or tall hump is used. The low hump will work with most automatics, but sometimes the lip at the front needs to be massaged as Ron mentioned.

That trans mount shown in the pic looks awfully tall.

Re: Trans Mount Question

Lip Aye.
Thank you Cap'n
Yes they both look tall, that's why I was wondering if it'd work.
