Just like the title says. I'm looking for some ideas on what would look good in a gold truck. I haven't been able to find any pictures. thanks

Guessing the factory gold paint isn't in the plan?
You going to use/thinking painted (body color?), chrome or stainless strips?

Might run through this thread and links for ideas.

I'm thinking the request is for clear/stained finishes. You know how beautiful it will look. You don't need pictures, just do it!

Yeah that isn't the plan. Probably going to use polished stainless strips. But body color strips aren't out of the question.

Might run through this thread and links for ideas.

I love the first picture of the blue truck with the ebony stained wood. That was what I had in my head when I first started thinking about this. But was unsure If I would like it against the gold. After looking at a ton of pictures, I'm really liking several different woods and stains. So now I'm even more unsure of what I want than when I started.

Exactly right. I'm mostly trying to decide if a lighter tone or darker tone would look best (to me anyway) against the Medium Gold. I find all kinds of pictures of most other colors when I search the interwebs. But no gold trucks. I was hoping someone might have something in there pic collection.

There don't seem to be too many Gold trucks. The woodgrain in the factory trim looks great with Medium Gold Poly

Well that is the problem with more imput, more to sift through and decisions to be made. IMHO a darker color than the gold will make the woodgrain stand out. If you go light it will still look like wood just a bit bleached as far as grain quality. Probably the easiest thing to do is go to Home Depot or Lowes and look at flooring samples. Some are going to catch your eye. Grab a few and see what gives you the effect you are looking for.

Along the lines of these two dark colors would be my choice.

They look great and remind me of the old timer's, who preserved their bedwood with used motor oil. Just like dadslonghorn's original wood was and still is.
