NOS or OEM Transmission dipstick

Where would I find either an NOS or OEM transmission dipstick? I mostly see the universal chrome type.

I'd rather keep the stock tube and just replace the dipstick itself.

Re: NOS or OEM Transmission dipstick

1239014 is the listed p/n for automatic Blazers (TH350). Unfortunately they seem expensive for NOS service parts.

Of course you could try a WTB post in the classifed section.
If you want to cross check the application. gmpartswiki.com/query

Re: NOS or OEM Transmission dipstick

This reminds me of another 1st gen Blazer owner who replaced his th350 trans dip stick with one from a mid 70's van (350/350 combo).

It brings the end of the dip stick up and out towards the front of the engine making it very easy to reach. His Blazer had a 4" lift with 38's on it so it was an issue for him.

He go it from a junk yard.
So that's an option.
Also check a junk yard for a 70's Chevy Truck with a 350/350 combo...should be the same.

Here is a pic of where it comes out.
