Steering Column..
I have a 83 Scottsdale. I am wondering if there is a different steering column that I could swap out that would be a little shorter, I feel like the steering wheel is right up on me. I tried to do some searching but apparently its a big thing in the older trucks so I couldnt find any info on my year model. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Steering Column..
A lot of people have switched to a tilt column and that has solved their issues. You can always go aftermarket too...

Re: Steering Column..
NJ C10 guy is right, it either aftermarket or a tilt column. My 87 GMC has tilt and it gives me plenty of room with it up, down it drags my belly. I'm a fat old bastard though. LOL

Re: Steering Column..
I have never tried a Cadillac tilt/telescopic in a truck but I assume it would fit. I hope to find out some day because I don't like the wheel in my chest either. When I broke my leg years ago I had to buy a Dodge because I couldn't fit my cast in my Chevy.
