'57 Universal Mustang tank...how to vent cap?...
Hello....I am getting ready to install a universal Mustang non-EFI tank tank in my truck....it currently has a mustang tank that needs replaced with a standard vented cap with a access hole thru the bed wood.....I wanted to use a flush mount filler as I will also be redoing the bed wood....my question is how do I vent the tank if the flush mount fillers are non-vented?....
thank you.... |

On my tank I drilled a hole on the back right side of the tank and added a elbow that goes to a roll over valve just in case

Re: '57 Universal Mustang tank...how to vent cap?...
There are a number of ways to do it depending on the tank you have. If its a bolt on neck Tanks Inc has a neck that will bolt on and go straight up with a vent tube in it part # 7B-V.
You can use a vented cap or if the pickup tube is a bolt in on the top of the tank you can vent it there. With any method make sure you use the check ball that comes with the tank or get one if it does not. |
