Vibrationand humming 71 k10

I have a 71 cheyenne k10 4x4 that has a Vibration that can be felt through the steering wheel so I'm guessing front end. It stops while making a right hand corner. It starts at anything over 20 mph. The tires aren't wearing funny so I'm not suspecting wheel bearings. I am going to do a neutral speed test to rule out trans. I am new to pickups this old so and ideas would be helpful and appreciated.

I will check condition of wheel bearings as soon as i can get around to it. i would suspect passenger side if it ends up being bearing due to it happening when loading up that side and while turning right it goes away..maybe alignment as well?

Doubt it's the alignment. There's only caster and toe that can really be adjusted. I'd suspect a wheel bearing being it goes away when turning one way.

I'm also voting that it's a wheel bearing also. The first clue to me is it stops when turning right.

thanks guys. i will be checking wheel bearings and hubs when my friend gets his shop sorted out(just brought in 16k worth of old school machining equipment). i will update you when i get it done!

Ok so I have some new information on this problem that could rule out or rule in possibilities. I took the truck for a 40 mile drive today half highway driving and half public access dirt roads. On the way while on the highway i noticed it would stop while braking. After coming back to the highway from the dirt roads I noticed that the humming/vibration was gone. it also screwed with me and made the noise slightly while turning right on a sweeping curve. Still thinking bearings? Brakes hanging up? front end not bolted down tight enough? thanks guys. just trying to get this nailed down and I will be getting it into the shop here in the coming weeks. I still want to drive it in the meantime but trying to be sure im not going to cause permanent damage.

use a floor jack and raise it just enough to take the tire off the ground and grab both sides of the tire and move it back and forth to check for any movement also place tire tool under tire while raised and lift up to check for movement , grease/rust marks on inside of rim ?

It was mentioned already but not sure you caught it, don't over look the axle shaft bearings, or the U joints on the axles for that matter, when ya pull the hubs look at the inner hub needle bearing, check the splines too.

Update. Changed passenger front wheel bearing. Noise is gone. Thanks for all your help. Now on to front pinon seal.

Wheel bearing aren't something you should wait to get around to. If they are causing vibration you need to grease immediately. Or you will be replacing more than bearings! So you got on the bearing quick and may have saved other damage. Good... stuff

A friend of mine had a similar problem. It was loose lug nuts.
