What Mounts Work With These BBC Stands?

I'm dropping a 1969 396 into a 72 C-10 chassis. What mounts do I need for these stands? Thanks, I'm a bit confused...

Any '67-'71 V-8 engine side mounts will work with those. The only difference in the frame brackets is the dip at the top to clear the BB exhaust manifolds.

Cool, thank you Leon! I noticed my SBC 3-bolt block mounts bolt right up to the 396 block. So these stands work just like the small block stands and mounts on a 72? Looks like a larger hole in the BB stands so I'm assuming a large washer will be needed as well? Thanks again, I went ahead and pulled the trigger for $115 dollars shipped on those stands.

As lockdoc says any will work, but the originals look like this pic. There is also a lower pad and a sleeve on the bolt like body mounts. I think they are expensive if you find them.

Re: What Mounts Work With These BBC Stands?

A lot of guys use small block mounts with those stands. Like you said it will take a big washer also. I am using the rubber blocks, bolts, and sleeves from my 6 cyl manual trans mounts, the fit right into the BB stands. The big block mounts are very expensive, or so I hear...

The Truck Shop carries the factory style 68-71 mount assemblies.

Just to keep things clear. Here are the correct, one year only, safety mounts and stands for a 1972 factory big block installation.

Re: What Mounts Work With These BBC Stands?

Thanks for the reply's. I've already sprung for the pre-72 stands, I think I can engineer a polyurethane sandwich to lock a small block mount to the stands. Thanks again, and I'm getting a better understanding of what applies to what year. ~Michael~
