My buddy found this at a swap meet. We thought it was for a 67/68 buddy buckets. After looking though the message board, we found out it was for the 1966 GMC buckets. Also saw that all the seats and consoles are the same for the 66/67/68's. This is the only piece that is different. Asking $350 plus shipping. I don't really want to ship because of health issue, but it has to be something easy for me like fedex or UPS. I will be at Trucks Carlisle in August selling stuff so we could meet there if you what too. My zip is 16055. Is this a fair price? We usually only sell and buy 67-72 stuff.

whats the diff /between 66 and 67 & up ? mount looks the same ??? do you have seat bottoms and backs ?

Finally, some one asked a question. The 67/68 buddy buckets seats are the some as 1966 GMC. The bottom of the console is the same, the top of the center console is almost as long as the bottom on the 1966. all 3 bars on the bracket are straight, on the 67/68 bracket, the front bar curves in on the center. The HUGE difference though is that this bracket is 1 1/4" higher on the side brackets then the 67/68. the 1966 had more head room. I'll check tomorrow if my buddy has seats.

Here are the seats for it. They are not bolted down but I do have all the bolts. When I bought the 1966 style I knew that the seats were the same as 67/68 style. I just thought maybe the bracket was for another kind of truck. I had two complete set and told my interior guy to use the best ones. the driver side and the top of the console foam is from the 1966 GMC. The passenger seat and the bottom of the console are from my 67/68 set. The reason I took 2 pictures is to show how long the foam is for the top console, in 1966 The top console was almost as long as the bottom, in 67/68 style the top is 4 or 5 inches shorter then the bottom. The only thing that is missing is the plywood for the top, but in most cases it gets replaced anyways.

Dang it, wanted these couldn't find a set so I dropped 800 getting my bench roll tucked and v bar! Where was this a year ago!

Not for that price. I usually sale 67/72 truck parts. We had these seats and bracket for awhile now and didn't know what it was for. I had the complete 1966 seats and a 1968 set, I knew the seats were the same so when I let my seat guy pick the best seats and console. This is what is left. What are this worth? I saw a set start at $1200 and sell for $950 on this web site. So I guess I would sale them For $850. Like I said, I know nothing about 1966 GMC buddy buckets. Is this a fair price?

For the 1966 bracket, the sides are about 1 1/2" higher then the 67/68 brackets. Also the front bar is straight on the 1966 and curved on the 67/68.

but the consoles fit either

They 67/68 brackets sale for $200. I want $350 for this one year only bracket. I will include the top foam piece with the bracket. If I sale the bracket, I will just part out the rest of the pieces.

If one of you guys could take some dimensions off the bracket and publish them, I'm sure a lot of us would really appreciate it.
Width at the top of the bracket stands, at the bottom, height at front, height at back, etc.
And if I were to be really greedy, thickness of the metal.
