Dads 58 isnt sitting anymore
Well after years, and i mean years of hibernation we pulled my dads 58 out of the garage and got going on it. It was another project like my 57 that was started and never finished, but this one began before my 57. Its been parked since 1985 or so. It was started to be built out as a full on show truck, but like all things one thing led to another so it was set aside. I think the motivation juices sterted flowing with the progression of my build so it was time to get the 58 going again. All the old school stuff was set aside, and he went with a more modern setup. First thing was the deal he got on his new chassis, Heidts mustang II superide kit and 4 link (all polished out) with a currie 9" and wilwood disc brakes on all four corners. He picked up a 2004 5.3 motor with just over 40k miles on it. Lots of other stuff as usual...... vintage air custom fit kit with the lines running down the outside of the inner fenderwell. All nice and clean and was running like a champ. Going to be a sweet ride once we get it all back together again. I know you guys hate these with no pictures so let me see what i have here and i will get some more soon.

Re: Dads 58 isnt sitting anymore
Cab is mounted after being lined with undercoating inside and out with insulating pads on the interior. Doors hung and pretty well set. May tweak them a bit when front fenders get mounted, but the gaps are pretty good now. Hopefully next week we should get some front sheet metal hung, but first gotta get the motor wired back up and the lines all put back in.
