Re: Porterbuilt air suspension

It doesn't sound like a suspension issue.
It sounds like an air management issue.
I agree, pictures of your air line routing and switch assembly would help.

Re: Porterbuilt air suspension

I can't tell which side is which for the front but one bag looks like it has less air in it then the other. The front do you have a valve pre wheel or one with it a t fitting to both of them?

Do you have air bag gauges that lets you know how much air is in each bags? I have (4) gauges, one for each bag, that tells me how much air, is in each bag. I have a 5th gauge, that lets me know how much air is in my air tank. also, the front bags should require more air in the bags than the rear air bags. I hope this helps. Clark.

Re: Porterbuilt air suspension

Rammer-

It does look like the driver side bag is not inflated as much as the passenger side.

Can you tell if each bag has the same amount of pressure?

Can you tell if there is something binding?

Do me a favor and send an email to tech@pbfab.com and I will see if I can help you get it sorted out!

Nate

Re: Porterbuilt air suspension

if you only have one valve for two bags you leave nothing between the bags to prevent the air from traveling from side to side. so the heavier side of the truck is going to squat. it would be worth your time to add a valve for each bag.

Re: Porterbuilt air suspension

Yeah the one valve between the two is the problem,Like said each wheel needs its own valve up and down. With it like that when you corner it will shift air from one side to the other making it handle worse. And if you do have a lose of air like a line blowing off or something you will have the front or rear slam on you vs if you had a valve pre wheel you only lose one wheel not two and could probably limp it home on 3 bags vs towing it.

How many ports do you have on your air tank?

Re: Porterbuilt air suspension

I'm trying to think what would be cheaper for you to add more valves to what you got or lose them for a valve block.

Re: Porterbuilt air suspension

If you can do the plumbing work yourself you could take the 2 ports you have t it and run 8 vales like you have now.And you would have to run new air lines to each wheel also. And you should add a set of air gauges if you don't have them.Avs makes a dual needle gauge so you can run 2 gauges for all 4 wheels. If you can't do the plumbing and wiring you could get a shop fix it or spend some more and valve block style which you can get from aiflift ridetech or even accuair. The airlift autopilot and ridetech both have build in gauges but your looking a grand for that kinda set up.
