Bumper bolts size? 3/8 or 7/16?

Hi all and Happy 4th.

I've been searching all around and can't find the specific size for bumper bolts. Seems 3/8" or 7/16" is very common. The square holes in my bumper is 1/2" and its the rear for my '62.

Thanks!

The bumper bolts are 1/2". You can use either standard carriage bolts or specific bumper bolts with the polished head caps.

I bought 1/2" stainless carriage bolts a few days ago at Lowe's for my bumper.

Nice, thanks guys! I'm heading out to Buchheits later anyway, I'll grab some there.
