Outer floor replacement
Hey guys, I just acquired a 72' 4x4. I removed the carpet and it has some rotted floors on the very outside edge. The outer rocker, rocker boxes, the vertical portion of the outer floor are all perfect, near as I can tell it is literally just the floor that has damage. Has anyone had any success replacing the outer floor without removing the outer rocker? My gut tells me the answer is no but figured I'd ask you guys and see if it's wrong, or if there is a trick, I'd really like to keep the oem rockers in place.

Re: Outer floor replacement
After looking at it some more today, I'm going to make a flange out of the inner rocker of the replacemnt panel and weld it to the current vertical section of the inner rocker, I'll use that flange as a mounting point to weld the new floor section. If there was rust anywhere else I'd take it all down and replace everything. But I can see and feel the inner and rocker boxes and they are 100%.
