CPP Drop Spindles - MOD and Steering Box
So the spacing differences between the Modular and OE spindles have been beat to death. I have a different question...
Will the narrowed track width of the Modular spindles interfere with a power steering gear box? Truck is a 64, i am keeping the stock crossmember and running the 15" OEM Wheels for disc brakes. I know its not an issue for a lot of guys as they switch to a rack and pinion and crossmembber. I am keeping the power gear box. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any issues in the past. |

From what I know the modular spindles will still push your wheels out just not as much as the regular spindles do so it should not interfere with the box. It does not on my truck.

I would say it will partly depend on the backspacing of your front wheels and what size tire you plan to run.
